Volunteer Committees

We have several committees that help organize Sirena's Creekside Carnaval. If you would like to join a team or become a team lead for one of our committees, please see below for information on how you can become one of our amazing volunteers. 

We are always looking for volunteers. Send us a message if you want to be part of the fun!!

Parade Committee

The parade committee organizes the order of parade participants, marks out parade spaces prior to the event, and ensure all participants are provided with pertinent parade information prior to the event.

Logistics / Security Committee

The logistics / security committee will assist with directing vendors, entertainers, and festival attendees to designated parking areas throughout town. They will also man entry points to aid incoming festival participants and ensure vehicles do not drive into the festival grounds. Additionally, this team will be responsible for coordinating a group to watch over the festival grounds overnight.

Children's Events Committee

The children's events committee will help with various children's activities that will be available throughout the festival. Example of duties include having parents sign our liability waiver prior to their child(ren) playing on the jump house and placing wrist bands on children whose parents have given consent for bounce house use.

At this time, we are in need of a team lead as well as volunteers for this committee. If you are interested in leading this committee, please contact Theresa Howard at 469-371-8577.

Special Events Committee

The special events committee will assist with checking tickets for various ticketed events, help the entertainers get to
the location of their activity, and keep entertainers on time in order to keep things running smoothly.

Festival Set-Up / Tear-Down Committee

The festival set-up / tear-down committee will assist with marking vendor booths the day prior to the festival and helping vendors locate their spaces during festival set-up. At the end of the event, this team will help direct vendors, in an organized manner, to load-out their vehicles and aid in the pick-up of any trash left on the ground after the completion of the festival.
